Just wanted to thank you for all the great articles. In particular your shooting gallery piece (I know that was a while ago) really opened my eyes to some great stuff and made me think a little more deeply beyond my love for glowey vector graphics. I'm going through the link drag now...
@manylegged, thanks! It's always nice to hear that readers have got something out of the pieces.
It's fascinating to see many people signing up for the site who are unfamiliar to me. I'm already feeling like the forum was a good idea!
I'll definitely be posting little announcements down here that I was uncomfortable burning into a site post (like a Pause "no post this week"). And also canvassing opinion from time to time.
I'm glad you decided to put up a forum. The ED comments have always been very good, so I'm hoping this will be a nice place. Even if I get banned for mentioning the secret of Eric's deliciousness.
Jonas, only my name is of Scandinavian origin. I come from Irish peasant stock. As well as probably French immigrants who came to America in the 18th Century. So shut it.
I've been busy with Fear of Twine--I have either been at work, debugging, writing emails, or asleep; I am having the best time but I haven't had time to post any forum stuff!
That will change after next week! What a time to make a forum, Goodwin!
@rgoodness, I pushed myself to make the forum now because I don't know if the Twines are going to drum up "some business". There are other changes I want to make over the weekend.
Well, @Eric_Brasure, if you insist that we may only discuss using facts and logic and not spurious categorization based on arbitrary markers, this forum is going to be... pretty sweet, actually.
I suspect, if the forum does well, it won't be possible to keep up with all the conversations here. That was intention with Open Mike as well but towards the end I felt that someone needed to come in and keep an interesting conversation going.
But I want to ensure this place is seen as part of Electron Dance, so I don't intend to retreat from public view...
